Gyrostim

Gyrostim Therapy utilizes an off axis rotational device.  With the Gyrostim we have seen dramatic improvements in a variety of cases, ranging from performance enhancement in a high level athlete, to resolution of symptoms and improved quality of life in patients with severe neurological disorders.  We use this piece of equipment to very specifically activate different areas of your nervous system.  This allows us to use the science of neuroplasticity to make lasting changes and improvements in the function of the nervous system.

Neurosensory Integrator (NSI)

Using a 50" touch screen monitor, the NSI is designed to improve visual abilities for a wide range of patients with visually-related learning problems, strabismus, amblyopia, and traumatic brain injury. It is also very effective for sports vision enhancement work with athletes. The key features that make this "all in one" instrument so useful are the variety of programs and many ways that visual abilities can be enhanced.

Interactive Metronome

Interactive Metronome therapy allows us to both assess and treat some very specific areas of the nervous system associated with motor planning (movement), timing, coordination, executive function, emotions, and a sense of where your body is in space.  Motor planning processes of organizing and sequencing are a core function of the brain.  Sometimes with the stresses of life or injury our nervous system can become uncoordinated.  This tool allows us to “sync” up the various areas of the nervous system to ensure that they are all working in concert to maximum efficiency.

Video Nystagmography (VNG)

VNG is Video Nystagmography.  The eyes give us a very direct look at the function of the nervous system.  VNG testing allows the capability to assess the efficiency of nervous system by taking a thorough look at how the eyes move in different postural positions as well as during different tasks.  During a VNG test the patient is asked to track objects with their eyes.  With a VNG, we are able to video record the response of the eyes.  This gives us the ability to slow it down and review your video to ensure that we pick up all of the little nuances involved with eye movement.  Eye movements are very fast and meant to be extremely accurate, so little changes in how efficient the eyes are able to track objects is very important.  These little changes, or inefficiencies are hard to see with the naked eye, but with this technology we are able to pick these changes up.  This gives us crucial information into how well your nervous system is functioning and how it may be affecting your health.

Computerized Posture Analysis

This shows us in real-time how your nervous system is adjusting to the environment around you.  By analyzing different data points, this testing shows us how gravity is affecting your body and how efficiently your nervous system is able to adapt to those forces.  It gives us insight into the function of your brain nervous system by measuring changes in position and posture that would be otherwise undetectable with the human eye.  This is one part of the puzzle of your total functional health picture.

Brain Mapping/NeuroInfinity

This test is performed while the patient is seated with non-invasive sensors attached to various places on the body and head. Over the course of 30 minutes, a full neurological workup is performed, including: EEG, heart rate variability, heart rate, respiration rate, muscle tension (SEMG), skin conductance, and hand temperature. The purpose of the test is to evaluate the ability of the brain to move from stress (beta activity) to recovery (theta activity) appropriately. It looks at the ability for the heart to vary its rhythm according to the breath and stress response. It measures how well the brain and body handle and recover from stress.

Neurosage

The patented technology behind Neurosage uses specific light and sound frequencies in 15-minute video sessions to help with a wide variety of neurological conditions.  Neurosage has been used successfully in cases such as reducing chronic pain, improving focus and concentration, improving mood, reducing tremor in conditions such as Parkinson's and improving memory.
